Since June 2006 PhuketRichard ( Canadian ) and his wife, Megumi ( Japanese ) have been organizing and hosting popular weekly social night out for their Adventure, Sailing Tour & Diving company guests along with members of several travel forums, Face book friends, their families & friends.



Until the end of July, 2009, this weekly social night out was held on every Friday. Because of some difficulties & issues we had to face in the past years with previously used restaurant, we came to conclusion to change a restaurant which holds all you can eat Dinner with BBQ on every Saturday. That is the only reason why we change our date to Saturday. "Do NOT Worry !" everything else is exactly as same as before.
Surely you are going to have great dinner at the new restaurant & un-forgettable FUN at the Sunshine Bar !

The "Saturday Night Social" evening begins with the "All-you-can-eat Dinner with Western style BBQ" at "Don's" in a small rural community called Nai Harn in the South of Phuket about 100 meters down the road and across the street from the previous "Rawai Mini Golf" venue from the old Friday Night Socials. This all you can eat dinner with western style BBQ is only 199 Baht per person (Please note there may be price change for the high season.) with the food laid out in a buffet style similar to what you find at hotels.

Though each week what they serve will be different, but juicy& tender BBQ Rib, home cooked roasted beef, Lamb & home made mini hamburger are common to be served. If you like little bit of Mexican flavor, there is also a make-your-own-taco-bar. Addition to great food selections, there is fresh cut fruits and freshly baked pie or cake and ice cream as your dessert.

The buffet Dinner begins at 6:00 PM, but hotel transfers begin around 5:00 PM depending on where you will be staying. At 7:30 PM the drivers return to the restaurant and transport everyone farther South of the Island down to the "Sunshine Bar" on Rawai Beach.

This bar is unlike most others in Phuket because there are no professional working girls / boys on site to harass the customers and their families. Behind the large horseshoe bar there are musical instruments such as bongo drums, tambourines, castanets and Thai bells that the energetic local Thai staff play while they sing and perform traditional Thai dances. Later in the evening the music changes and the guests join the staff behind the bar singing, dancing, and challenging the "Dreaded Pole".

Because of families with kids and many others who have tours or activities planed for early the next day the return transfers back to your hotels are arranged for 10:00 PM.

For those of you that would like to have a great All You can Eat Dinner with BBQ for only 199 Thai Baht and an evening of some good family fun with the people you may have been talking to in advance on the travel forums, this is one of the events that you should not miss while you are in Phuket.

Keep in mind that many of the "Saturday Night Socials" can be fully booked due to the limited number of guests(maximum 40pax) allowed and advance booking is highly recommended to avoid last minute disappointment.

19:30-19:45	Transfer to Sunshine Bar
19:45-22:00	Enjoy a few drinks and dancing while socializing with new friends and challenge climbing the "Dreaded Pole"!
22:00	Depart from Sunshine Bar and back to your hotel

Administration Fee including Transfer (from your Hotel - Restaurant for Dinner- Sunshine Bar - back to your Hotel)	175 Baht per person for Administration Fee Payable in advance or the latest on Saturday ("Additional cost" for those staying out beyond the transfer area such as Merlin Beach: 100 Baht, Kalim: 150 Baht, Kamala: 200 Baht, Surin: 250 Baht, Laguna: 300 Baht per person, minimum 2 persons.) Please note "LAST MINUTES Cancellation" and "NO SHOW" is still 175 Baht p/p.
Your Drinks Are Additional	Available to purchase at the restaurant & Sunshine bar with very reasonable prices.

How to Book
To make a booking we must receive a completed reservation form below from you in advance. You must call us to confirm with your room number once you are in Phuket for contact/transfer purposes the latest by 5:00 PM on Thursday. We now remove/cancel guest's names from the list if they do not contact us before the deadline that we have to make the reservations at the restaurant at 5:00 PM on Thursday and it is too late for us to organize additional transfers the day of the social while we are at work on the dive boats or doing tours.
Booking & Payment Terms .....
(1) We are sorry but we no longer accept reservations from persons who are arriving in Phuket the same day as the social or from those who have scheduled other tours on the same day since the transfer times begin in Patong at 5:00 PM. (2) "LAST MINUTES Cancellation" (Cancellation after 5:00 PM on Thursday) and "NO SHOW" apply 100 % cancellation fee of 175 Baht p/p. (3) We do not recommend this evening for children 4 years old or younger because no special arrangements are available for guests who choose to leave earlier than the regular scheduled departure time. (4) Please do not e-mail us if you are already in Phuket as it can sometimes be days before we have time out from our daily tours, activities and diving to be present at the main office and respond to mails! Contact us directly via telephone from your hotel and all of our contact info is on the bottom of our mails including our local mobile number. Our working hours are from 7:00 AM until 6:00 PM 7 days a week and after our 12 hour work day at 6:00 PM we now turn off our mobile phones. (5) Please keep in mind that this is a social event that Richard & Megumi personally host and organize for these separate local Thai businesses that we support. This is still just fun for us, not our job and the only perks that we receive are the free dinner at the restaurant and limited drinks at the Sunshine Bar for the evening. Please make sure that all of your families & friends are informed above detail information, so there is "NO" misunderstanding. Your cooperation will be very much appreciated.
