Megumi left Japan in April 1989 with a one year working holiday visa to study English in Canada. While working as a tour guide in Victoria, Canada, she attended community college & completed her Travel Agent Certification course.

Megumi decided to try scuba diving while in Canada which is where she first met Richard. Inspired by Richard's enthusiasm for diving, Megumi went on to become a PADI instructor in 1992.

Megumi is now Internationally recognized for her role in the PADI Rescue Diver training video. After 18 years of diving (15 as an instructor) and over 4,000 dives to her credit, her enthusiasm for teaching and her love of diving has not diminished.
